My interests generally fall into two lines of research: (1) social identities and self-evaluations, and (2) experiences and perceptions of discrimination and prejudice.

For example, I am interested in how social identities can motivate stereotype-consistent behavior, and how those behaviors affect beliefs about the self. I am also interested in how targets of discrimination (particularly benevolent forms of discrimination) are perceived by others with regard to their competence and job capability.

Primary Interests:

  • Culture and Ethnicity
  • Gender Psychology
  • Intergroup Relations
  • Prejudice and Stereotyping
  • Self and Identity
